GIDEON MENDEL

Photographer and videographer Gideon Mendel [b. 1959, Johannesburg, South Africa] has earned international recognition for his commitment to long-term projects. He began photographing in the 1980s during the final years of apartheid. Since then, he has continued to respond to global social issues, most notably Drowning World, a project about flooding and climate change.

Proceeds donated to Extinction Rebellion Extinction Rebellion is an socio-political movement intending to utilize nonviolent resistance in order to avert climate change, halt biodiversity loss and minimize the risk of human extinction and ecological collapse

BriefCASE is a selection of limited editioned photographs by CASE photographers. Chosen images will only be available for purchase through CASE in the size designated, with 50% of the proceeds going directly to support the project, 25% going back to the photographer, and 25% going to CASE for operational expenses.
